Wamba, Kenya: a hospital in need of aid

Msgr. Hieronymus Joya, the newly appointed Bishop of Maralal, a diocese in North-Eastern Kenya, is requesting our aid. The Diocese runs a hospital in Wamba. It is the only health center in the whole desert area of the Dioceses. It is the only oasis of hope for undernourished children, sick people and pregnant women, who frequently have to walk for miles to reach the hospital.

Since its foundation, the hospital has saved hundreds of lives. Many moms have given birth to their babies in a safe environment. Children have found healing from deadly diseases. Elderly people have been taken care of in their weakness or sickness.

However, Wamba hospital cannot continue its vital mission without our help. Its resources are limited and it cannot rely on an increase of support from the local people who struggle for their survival. This is the reason that has driven Bishop Joya to write us for help. He asks for USD $20,000 from us.

Please contribute to allow Wamba Hospital to keep carrying out its saving mission among the desert people in the North of Kenya.
