FINAL MESSAGE FROM THE CONFERENCE MEMBERS:
We, the DCMS Consolata Missionaries, have met from October 2 to 5, in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, near San Cristobal de Las Casas, the land of the indigenous peoples, the Guadalupe land, in Mexico. We are here in the framework of the 10th anniversary of the Consolata presence in Mexico and of the two years of canonical constitution of the DCMS Delegation. Here with us, are Fathers Stefano Camerlengo, Superior General, James Lengarin, Vice Superior General, Jaime Patias, Continental Councilor, Rinaldo Cogliati, General Administrator. This is the first post-Chapter conference; it is held to evaluate the journey we have made in recent years, to plan our missionary project according to the guidelines of the XIII CG and to the Continental Project of America.
We appreciate the richness of our cultural, linguistic and spiritual diversity of our Delegation composed of three countries where we work. We also value the intercultural and international richness of the missionaries who work in this young Delegation.
Our mission area is characterized by migratory trends – people from different countries cross from different parts of the world pursuing the “American dream” – and by ethnic minorities.
Our missionary options are:
Missionary, vocational and youth animation
Urban peripheries
Care for migrants
The possibility of starting a pastoral activity with indigenous peoples.
All these options are made from our Consolata charism and in spirit of collaboration with the local Church.

We emphasize the following points:
Our Delegation is under construction and therefore has many challenges that require a lot of discernment, patience, prayer and teamwork in the hope of attaining greater consistency. To achieve this purpose, we commit ourselves to own our organization that unites the three countries; an organization that is composed of the Superior Delegate and of two Councilors who animate the community life and the missionary project. We are encouraged to act in a spirit of synodality.
Communication: To promote fraternal communication and mutual knowledge among us, we propose to create common spaces for retreats, assemblies and meetings in an alternate manner.
Traditional, digital and virtual media are a good tool to promote the exchange of experiences and missionary activities ad intra and ad extra. That is why we intend to make responsible and qualified use of the mass media.
Economy: The proper use of the economy is one of the ways of living the family spirit according to Blessed Joseph Allamano’s dream. For this reason, we propose to favor the responsibility in the use of the goods that we have, in order to create an economy of solidarity at the service of the mission.
Formation: The formation of the missionary is an important task in the preparation for life and mission. We seek to intensify the basic formation and the on-going formation according to the Chapter orientations. In the same way, we thank God, who is the owner of the harvest, for the missionary vocations that he has given us in the Mexican lands in these first ten years of our presence in this loving country. We keep working in the task of vocation animation.
Revitalization: We are aware that in order to achieve revitalization and restructuring we need that we change our life and focus on Christ who is the source of our life. With this conviction, we inspire ourselves in the reflection “… new wine in new wine-skins…”.

Nosotros los misioneros de la Consolata nos hemos reunido de 2 a 5 de octubre, en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, cerca de San Cristóbal de Las Casas que es tierra de los pueblos indígenas, en México, tierra guadalupana. Nos encontramos aquí en el marco de los 10 años de la fundación de la misión Consolata en México y de los dos años de constitución canónica de la Delegación DCMS, con presencia de los Padres Stefano Camerlengo, Superior General, James Lengarin, Vice Superior General, Jaime Patias, Consejero Continental, Rinaldo Cogliati, Administrador General, en la primera conferencia pos capitular para evaluar el camino que hemos recorrido en los últimos anos, planear nuestro proyecto misionero según las orientaciones del XIII CG y el Proyecto Continental de América.
Valoramos la riqueza de la diversidad cultural, lingüística y espiritual de nuestra delegación compuesta por tres países donde estamos trabajando. También contamos con la riqueza intercultural e internacional de los misioneros que trabajamos en esta joven Delegación.
Nuestra zona de misión esta marcada de las tendencias migratorias y minorías étnicas en donde gente de distintos países cruzan desde distintas partes del mundo en búsqueda del “sueño americano.”

Animación misionera, vocacional y juvenil
Periferias urbanas
Atención a los migrantes
La posibilidad de empezar una pastoral con los pueblos indígenas.
Todas estas opciones están realizadas desde nuestro carisma de la Consolata y en el espíritu de colaboración con la Iglesia local.
Subrayamos los siguientes puntos:
Nuestra delegación está en construcción y por eso tiene muchos desafíos que requieren mucho discernimiento, paciencia, oración y trabajo en equipo con la esperanza de llegar a mayor solidez. Para alcanzar este propósito, nos comprometemos a asumir una organización propia para unir los tres países, compuesta por el Superior Delegado y dos Consejeros que animan la vida comunitaria y el proyecto misionero. Estamos animados a trabajar en el espíritu de sinodalidad.
Comunicación: Para favorecer la comunicación fraterna y el conocimiento mutuo entre nosotros, nos proponemos a crear espacios comunes de retiros, asambleas y reuniones de forma alternada.
Los medios de comunicación tradicional, digital y virtual son una buena herramienta para favorecer el intercambio de experiencias y actividades misioneras ad intra y ad extra. Por eso nos proponemos hacer el uso responsable y cualificado de los medios de comunicación masiva.
Economía: El buen uso de la economía es una de las maneras de vivir el espíritu de familia según el sueño del Beato José Allamano. Por eso, nos proponemos a favorecer la con-responsabilidad en el uso de los bienes que tenemos, para poder crear una economía solidaria al servicio de la misión.
Formación: La formación del misionero es una tarea importante en la preparación para la vida y la misión. Queremos intensificar la formación de base y la formación permanente según las orientaciones capitulares. Del mismo modo, agradecemos al Dios, que es el dueño de la cosecha, por las vocaciones misioneras que nos ha dado en las tierras mexicanas en estos primeros diez años de nuestra presencia en este amable país. Seguimos en la tarea de la animación vocacional.
Revitalización: Estamos conscientes de que para lograr la revitalización y la restructuración se requiere la conversión del misionero y su centralidad en la persona de Cristo que es la fuente de nuestra vida. Con esta convicción, nos inspiración es en la reflexión “…vino nuevo en odres nuevos…”.
Nos encomendamos a la protección de Nuestra Madre de La Consolata y del Padre Allamano en esta misión que ellos mismos nos han encomendado.
