Wednesday, September 14, 2016, the inter-religious chaplaincy team at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick NJ, held a meal to say farewell to Fr. Peter Ssekajugo. Fr. Peter had been a part-time member of the team for nearly three years. His knowledge of Spanish made his presence much appreciated by everybody and particularly by the Latino patients.
All the members of the team, headed by Deacon Jim Tesoriero, joyfully joined in the meal.
In few words, before cutting the ritual cake, Fr. Peter stressed the importance and witnessed to the beauty of his experience of working together with the members of the team, beyond the different beliefs, for the common good of the patients’ life and health.
